Call for Abstracts

Dear GCMAS Members and Supporters,

We are pleased to announce that the 2022 GCMAS Annual Conference will take place on June 7-8, 2022. Texas Children’s Hospital – The Woodlands will be serving as the host for this year conference; however, due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty, the conference will continue to be held in a virtual format during 2022. 

Abstract submission will begin Saturday, December 11th, 2021 and end on Friday, February 18th, 2022 (updated from February 11th).

The conference is pleased to accept abstracts in the areas of:

    Gait Analysis
    Foot and Ankle
    Trunk and Upper Extremity
    Normal Motion
    Pathological Motion
    Balance/Stability/Posture
    Sports and Sports Performance
    Prosthetics/Orthotics/Assistive Devices
    Muscles/FES/EMG
    Orthopaedics
    Rehabilitation
    Quality Service Delivery and Standards
    Novel Biomechanics
    Data and Analysis Methods
    Tutorials

These templates must be used in abstract submissions. NB! This year your references must include DOIs so that we can easily index work through CrossRef.

If you wish to be a reviewer, please contact the conference chair, Eric Dugan, at eldugan@texaschildrens.org.   We will set up reviewer logins by the end of January. As the schedule solidifies, you will be able to find more information here. The key dates to keep in mind are as follows:

    December 11, 2021 – Abstract submission opens

    February 18, 2022 – Abstract submission closes

    February 25, 2022 – Authors notified of acceptance – (may be pushed back to to extension)

    March 04, 2022 – Participating authors’ CVs are due for CME certification

    June 7-8, 2022 – Virtual GCMAS Annual Meeting

Additional information regarding meeting format will be made available as it is known.
